- Imperial War Museum Zero

- I'm over in the UK right now and have taken a number of
shots of the Zero at the Imperial War Museum in London. The pictures are
digital and with one overall
shot, mostly details. The plane is a Nakajima built A6M5 of uncertain
history. They say they captured it during the war and that it came
into the museum's possession in 1961.
- The landing gear in the display looks too clean to be
original, but the rest of
the plane seems quite likely as-built. I've enver seen the real thing
before. it appears to have been really well constructed in
terms of detail work.
